When Maryland opened its season on Aug 31 at Noon against Howard, it was the start of my 41st season calling Terps Football and Basketball, hosting coaches shows and working with some of the greatest young student-athletes in the country. Brett Bessell, Steve Rear and Tom Marchitto have been with me for years...tomorrow begins former Terp QB CJ Brown's 1st season in the booth with us, along with Maryland's all-time leading rusher Lamont Jordan who also is the new head coach of Riverdale Baptist High School. As I've said many times over the years, it's the greatest job in the world. Locks is back and we can all feel the excitement he's brought to the program. Thanks for your support..now let's get it done!!

Fascinating and also historically significant, Johnny Holliday's book "From Rock To Jock"  details Holliday's beginnings in radio as a youth on WBBN in Unadilla, GA, to his rock days at WHK in Cleveland, his job on WINS in Manhattan in its last days as a music station, his job at KYA in San Francisco to his days as a sportscaster in Washington, DC... It should be in every college library and all of the major city libraries and, if you love radio as much as I do, in your own library. I gurantee you will enjoy this book." - Claude Hall, Radio Daily News.

You think Johnny Holliday is a great sportscaster? You should've seen him on the court, as a blazing point guard on various radio station basketball teams. And you should've heard Johnny as a rapid-fire DJ, spinning stacks of hot wax at topflight Top 40 stations, from San Francisco to New York City. Stephen Moore slows him down just enough to tell you Johnny's story,"

Ben Fong-Torres, Author, "The Hits Just Keep On Coming."
